"Aeronautical Engineering is one of the most challenging fields of engineering with a wide scope for growth." This field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems. It specializes in the designing, construction, development, testing, operation and maintenance of both commercial and military aircraft, spacecrafts and their components as well as satellites and missiles. Aeronautical engineering is a branch of aerospace engineering, though some people use the two terms interchangeable. The field encompasses aircraft design and the management of the physical forces that act on aircraft. These primarily include the sciences of propulsion and aerodynamics.
Many would also consider that aeronautical engineering covers the development and selection of materials and equipment that are utilized on aircraft. In short, it is a broad field that intersects with many other disciplines.
Our program strikes an effective balance between theory and practice by combining conceptual classes with guest lecturers from the engineering community, case discussion, technological stimulation and applied individual and team projects.

In the Aeronautican & Aerospace Engg we have many labs like Aerodynamics Lab with working subsonic wind tunnel, Propulsion Lab with working Rolls Royce engine, Structure Lab, Aero Modelling & Aero Computing Lab which has high configuration system for design, meshing and simulation projects.

It includes study in the areas of Aerodynamics, Structures, Propulsion, Aircraft Performance, Stability and Control, Avionics, Flight Vehicle Design, Aircraft Systems & Flight testing. The students get hands on experience through lab experiments in addition to the other engineering disciplines.

The students get an understanding of nature of flow past various models through flow visualization techniques. The nature of pressure distribution over various aerofoil and body shapes is explained. The wake and boundary layer survey provide information on the momentum thickness and displacement thickness.
It provides the student with the practical knowledge of the various theorems, like reciprocal theorem, buckling phenomenon of columns, WEGNER beam stresses information. The vibration of beam equipment provides information on types of nodes and vibration patterns.
Modeling, Analysis Simulation Lab
The CFD analysis and stress analysis techniques are developed through computer software with high configuration system.Several time motion studies are made increasing students capability in simulation techniques.

Indian Air Lines, Air India, Defense Research and Development Laboratories, Civil aviation's department, ONGC, Indian Air force, Army, Navy and many other reputed establishments.
